Night Class

Lost in a jungle,
Surrounded by confusion.
Complicated equations,
Shoot through my head,
Uncaptured by the gray.
Bright lights burn my eyes,
Intensified by surrounding darkness.
Boredom takes control,
As her voice
Bounces off the walls.
When I lay my head,
I receive a disapproving glance.
Long and short hands,
Move like snails,
Through the eternal second.
Overcome with embarrassment,
When I’m unable to answer.
Lack of concentration,
When everyone is focused.
When will it all end?
